I just LOVE this technique! Acrylic paints on embossed metal, sanded, inked and embossed with clear powder. When I first saw it I wasn't so sure, but I did a test piece and was just so impressed with how it turned out. Be sure to go HERE to see Tim's piece and the instructions.
I only had copper craft metal, but when I started to sand it the copper also came off in places and I got down to the silver. I used Cranberry and Wild Plum Dabbers and my favourite embossing folder which has a bit of a Christmassy feel (perhaps!).
Not having any metal embellishments and not wishing to make another wreath out of small leaves, I decided to go with a lovely white crown which I backed with some text paper and embellished with some pearls inked with Cranberry Alcohol Ink (technique from tag 1).
I've put the photographs here of the pieces as they developed as you really would not think that when you start the process it will come out so well. I shall certainly be doing this one again.

Enjoy the rest of the day and see you tomorrow!

totally loving this! I enjoy embossing the metal foil tape but never did it with the paint and embossing powder. Love the colors you chose.
I really love what you have done :)
I absolutely love your tag....I also didnt like Tim's tag that much when I saw it, but will try out the technique. Stunning!
I love the medieval look of your tag! I want to use that same texture fade too. It gives many possibilities.
I love the colors you used on this! glad to hear the copper foil works - I have that at home and will try it after work tonight!
очень красиво!!!!!!
gorgeous! I'm so glad you put your comments, because I was doubting today's technique. Now I might actually try it!

Wow, yours is phenomenal. I was skeptical when I saw T!m's post but your tag is so beuatiful that I might go ahead and give it a try. I think the copper makes a better visual impression than the silver.
That is really nice! I love the copper with the colors. Thanks for the photos during the process, very helpful.
Gorgeous! I was tempted with that folder too this morning. Love the colors and design!
Oooooooh! I wasn't going to try this technique for today's tag. I don't have many of his products and I wasn't all that inspired. I was going to go a whole new route but your tag just JUMPED out at me in the thumbnails. Wow - this is STUNNING! Thanks for sharing the additional photos ... I'm finally inspired this morning!!!
Cheers, Karen

I've done my tag differently as I wasn't keen on the look Tim had but you've changed my mind - think I might do a second tag at some point and give it a chance as yours looks fantastic! This is my favourite embossing folder ever and the colours are beautiful. I love it!
Wonderfull tag! Bye Mascha
This is gorgeous....love the colors. Because of work commitments I won't be able to play until tomorrow night, but your tag definetly inspires me to give the technique a try. Thanks!

Hi! I saw your thumbnail on Tim´s blog and I just got to say that I love your take on this technique. It looks great!
This is fab love the colours love the theme it's just. Fab x
Waw! How stunning is your tag!! I used the same embossing folder, but it doesn't look as great as yours!!
Just between you and me, I actually like yours better than Tim's today. With all the tags everyone is attaching to his blog, I've only been viewing the ones that really stand out to me and that look really nice. That being said, I've been to your site more than once if that tells you anything, you're very talented.
Wonderful take on day 6, love your colors!
This is unbelievably beautiful. I love what you did here. Awesome!
Wonderful tag, Jennie! I felt the same way as you about this one. Sure am glad I tried it, because I love the end result as well. Yours is wonderful!

Very cool tag Jennie. I like the embossing folder and colors that you used!
When I saw the one he did I wasn't so impressed, I think it was the color scheme. Yours is much lovelier!
This is my favorite one out of everyone's (including tim's)!!
Wow Jennie! You made this technique look so wonderful - I absolutely love your take on it!
